Time for Cookies Again!!
The Men’s Kairos prison ministry is in need of homemade cookies for their weekend ministry at the West Tennessee State Penitentiary. There are currently over 2700 inmates and 700 staff at this facility, and the goal is to deliver a dozen cookies to each of these men.
Churches from all over the Memphis area will be baking cookies, but Lindenwood’s goal is 100 dozen cookies for this ministry. They are asking that we make only chocolate chip cookies. Homemade cookies are preferred, but they will gladly accept cookies made from the tubs of mix that can be purchased at Sam’s and Wal-Mart. Recipes and baking/ handling instructions are available from Cleolyn Young at 377-1032 or Cleolyn@bellsouth.net.
Please bring cookies on Sunday morning, SEPTEMBER 14TH ONLY!
Thank you for your time and service in this ministry: you may be the only Christ these men ever see!
The Benevolent Fund
